We aim to explore what it means to follow Jesus in an ever more complicated modern world. We hope to provide insightful and actionable Bible explanations and teachings for most people to be able to follow and apply in their lives.
The mission of WearingJesus
WearingJesus aims to serve passionate and faithful followers of Jesus from all walks of life. From evangelizing to those unfamiliar with God’s love to those who have perhaps experienced God’s grace, but deep disappointment maybe caused questions to grow. Perhaps even take root.
We aim to explore Biblical truth plainly and practically to make the message and its expectations clear and applicable to everyday life. Thus, helping us knit the fabric of Christianity into our victories and struggles.
We gather testimonies from faithful followers of Jesus from all over the world that have overcome – by the blood of the Lamb – and have allowed their hearts to be transformed by the Word of God.
From scholars, converted prisoners, non-specialists and pastors, we all come together to share and unify the message of Jesus. We believe in bridging the gap between different denominations with different viewpoints on verses in the Bible while attempting to respectfully unpack the different doctrinal views and experiences. We explore appropriate perspectives that are authentic to Scripture while navigating today’s complexities.
WearingJesus doesn’t segregate groups of believers, but embraces the existence of different groups or denominations as individual parts of the body of Christ. We understand our readers will sometimes feel passionate about particular viewpoints and beliefs. Through the sharing of teachings and testimonies, we hope to find unity in our unique experiences, building each other up to be clothed in the glory of Christ.
The Beliefs and Vantage point of WearingJesus
Fear is the activity we entertain at the start of our doubts and worries. The doubt of a positive resolution or the fear of the consequences of failure. Both doubt and worry trigger fear in the heart.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Then, faith is the next step to hope. If hope is the possibility of a positive resolution, then faith is the assurance of that hope.
To have faith in Jesus Christ is not to merely “know” Him and to trust He can help you, or that your situation has the possibility of improvement with effort and time, by following His will. But to know – deep down – that His love for you is unmatched (irrespective of what you might feel) and you can walk in victorious submission.
Faith isn’t merely an idea, a concept, or a feeling in our lives. For faith to be a part of our lives, it should be experienced. It’s like being calm or confident. You cannot say you are calm, but then you are visibly anxious or agitated. To be calm, or confident, cannot be merely acted out, although we often try. It’s a state of being and is evident to your core. The same with faith; if you have it, you and others know it.
If your faith was strong once but is shaken at the moment, I hope you will find a word on this site to warm your soul and breathe life into your bones, as God holds you close during this time.
