God’s Word offers profound wisdom on managing our emotions, emphasizing the importance of forgiveness, love, and community countering our selfish ambition.
It warns against various types of evil behavior and every kind of malice, urging believers to discard their old self, characterized by perpetual animosity, anger, and malice, and to embrace a renewed spirit of compassion and humility. Without forgiveness and love, no community will stand for long, as these virtues are the foundation of any harmonious group. Just as bitter water cannot produce sweet fruits, a heart filled with anger cannot foster true fellowship.

A gentle response can defuse a tense situation, while harsh words can escalate conflict and cause further anger.
Another key verse, Ecclesiastes 7:9 says, “Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.” This scripture teaches the value of patience and self-control. It warns against being easily provoked, suggesting that those who are quick to anger lack wisdom and understanding.
